Dr. Dan Ilchyna, MD, CCFP, FCFP
I am originally from Winnipeg and graduated with degrees in Science and Medicine from the University of Manitoba. I also completed my training in Family Medicine through the University of Manitoba, including several months training with the wonderful doctors, nurses, and other staff at Steinbach Family Medical Centre and Bethesda Hospital. After graduation, in 1997, I was given the opportunity to come and join the staff here in Steinbach, where I have remained ever since. During my years in Steinbach I have maintained my office practice at the Steinbach Family Medical Center while also providing services at Bethesda Hospital. I have worked in the Emergency Department, assisted in surgeries, delivered many babies, and looked after patients admitted to the hospital. I have also served on many hospital committees over the years, and have regularly worked with medical students and Family Medicine Residents who have trained in Steinbach, some of whom have also returned to work in Steinbach. In addition, I have attended patients at Maplewood Manor in Steinbach and Menno Home in Grunthal. Outside of work, I have been involved in the organizing committee for the annual Run for Mom, whose purpose is to promote fitness, community spirit, and to raise money for Anna's House. I look forward to many more years living and working in Steinbach.
